I also wrote whilst going through training (initially as a surgical resident and later as an Emergency trainee), sometimes in a blog that no one would read, other times in my own electronic journal- again it wasn’t safe to share this information, and it felt like there was a collective illusion that made right of a work culture that was incredibly wrong and backwards.
Some of our inhumane practices were, and still are being carried out. Thankfully times are changing, owing to people like yourself who have risen through the ranks and are raising awareness and creating new models of ways to be!
